Free Stuff

They told me in my college marketing classes that one of the best words to use in a headline was “free.” So, here goes…..
We have free stuff for you. As long as supplies last, of course! We have some stock left of our Presidents Rulers and they are slightly out-of-date. They show most (All but one) of the presidents. President Obama is missing. But 43 out of 44 isn;t bad, right?
Anyway, here’s the deal: You get one ruler free for every dollar you spend on GREAT or Smart Choices products. If you spend $200 you get 200 rulers free, $500 and you get 500 free, and so on. You get the idea. There is no limit as long as supplies last (Did we say that?)

Cyberbullying

When I was in grade school the guy’s name was Bobby Thomas. He lived down the block from me when I was growing up. He was the neigborhood bully and he made life miserable for us at the bus stop as well as on the bus ride home after school. Nothing very physical, just stole your hat or dropped your books in the water; juvenile stuff like that. That’s what most bullies did the the ’50’s and ’60’s!
Now, the bullies have moved to the cyber world as well. I’m sure a lot of you know that, especially if you are school resource officers. It must be tough policing something like this with cell phones and computers everywhere. I don’t envy your job one bit. I did read about one interesting program last week being conducted in Massachusetts.
Here’s an video and short article about a program at the Bridgewater-Raynham school district in Massachusetts. Apparently this school district has had a cyber safety program in place for 6 years. Good for them. The video is a short interview with Louis Pacheco done by a Boston television station. He is a school resource officer at Falmouth Middle School. I’m certainly not an expert on this subject, but if you’d like to see more on cyberbullying, there are a lot of websites out there. Here’s one that looked interesting to me. Click here to see it.
Like anything else, we need everyone helping out to reduce this activity; parents, kids and officers.

Budget Cuts

I know a lot of you are facing budget cuts right now. And, it appears that the situation might not improve very soon. There is one way to stretch your dollars that we have on our website. When you go there you will find a lot of items that are significantly reduced in price. All of these items are top quality; there are no seconds or irregular merchandise. The reason these items are in clearance is because they have been replaced by newer items. Our loss is your gain, so to speak.
Remember two things about clearance items. First, the quantities are limited to the stock on hand. We show you how many of each item is remaining so you know if there is enough to fit your needs.

Welcome to SROsource.com! We’re the “stress reliever” for SRO officers; at least when it comes to your marketing and promotional materials. We say that we are “The Promotional Resource for People Dedicated to Kids” and we mean it. We have been working with police departments and schools for almost 20 years.
We have been part of the DARE Program and the GREAT Program since the early 1990’s. We have also helped promote many local gang and violence prevention programs like ROAR, STARS and others. We enjoy working with you and hope that this website will become a place you visit often.
